Takht Sri Damdama Sahib is one of the five Takhts (temporal seats) of Sikhism, located in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Punjab, India. It holds immense historical and spiritual significance for Sikhs.
- Historical Importance: Takht Sri Damdama Sahib is the place where Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, compile the final and complete version of the Guru Granth Sahib in 1705. After the battles of Anandpur Sahib and Muktsar, the Guru stayed here for about nine months and conducted religious and literary activities.
- Meaning of ‘Damdama’: The word ‘Damdama’ means a place of rest. Guru Gobind Singh rested here after his military campaigns and engaged in spiritual and intellectual work.

- Guru Gobind Singh prepared the Bir (volume) of the Guru Granth Sahib and declared it the eternal Guru of the Sikhs.
